Inclusion and access to medieval heritage attractions
Location
85 Auchinlea Rd, Glasgow G34 9PQ - Hybrid Working
Project
Heritage can play an important role in all our lives but many people experience barriers to access and participation in local heritage, even to heritage sites on their doorstep. Provan Hall is Glasgow’s oldest house and lies in the heart of a residential area in Easterhouse. A medieval building which is physically restrictive in terms of access. This project will outline and analyse the emotional and physical barriers to access people experience as visitors and in engaging with Provan Hall and evaluate the interpretation, engagement and physical features this new museum offers to the local community and visitors.
