Project

We are running a project, Making Humanity, which provides free art activities for anyone to use around the theme of ‘caring’. So far, this has been colouring sheets, themed around historical or archaeological subjects of people caring for one another. You can learn more about the project on the website:

https://making-humanity.org/

Outputs

The goal of this residency/internship will be to add to the free resources of this project. There are two avenues to do so, applicants are free to choose which one they would like to undertake:

  1. Research and social engagement. We need to provide short briefs on the topics to the artists. This strand would be creating those briefs i.e. conducting research, finding reference images, etc. Also, the promotion of the existing and new resources. Past interns have worked on creating a podcast, creating TikTok videos/YouTube Shorts, etc. We are open to any ideas of promotion.
  2. The creation of additional colouring sheets or broaden out the project to other artistic activities e.g. cut outs, digital game, etc. We are open to proposals in this regard, and you can propose anything, as long as it provides free artist activities with themes of history, heritage and archaeology.

Please specify in the applications  which route you would like to undertake – both will be treated equally when evaluating applicants.
