Creative Events Researcher

Outputs

Working with senior team members, this position will conduct primary research into potential locations across Scotland and formats for future creative events. This research will consider accessibility, sustainability, community engagement, technology & format innovations, and context.  

Outputs will include a research report, with recommendations and considerations relating to the above. 

Timescale

Start and end date flexible.

 

Working pattern flexible.

Examples include: 

  • Single block of 12 weeks 
  • Multiple shorter blocks 
  • Longer less intensive engagement, e.g. one day per week, one week per month 
  • Mixture of the above.

We would value this opportunity to have input from an arts & humanities PhD researcher, to assist our team in researching all aspects of bringing to life potential new innovative, accessible and sustainable site-specific creative events.  Having a researcher work with us who has an interest in/is familiar with discourses around site-specific event accessibility, sustainability, community engagement and cultural tourism to help develop new ideas and give research insight, will potentially assist us in diversifying focus, innovating and exploring/expanding the geographical reach of our major events.
