Research Interests:

My research examines evidence of childhood reading practices in eighteenth-century Scotland in the form of library borrowers' records, school records, letters and diaries. Using this approach, I hope to construct a picture of what reading materials children and young people were accessing in Lowland Scotland in the long eighteenth century.
