Research Interests:

  • Roman, late antique and medieval archaeology in general (and in particular Italy and the Caucasus)
  • Funerary archaeology
  • Landscape archaeology
  • Re-use and recycling in the archaeological record
  • Portable material culture, particularly ancient and medieval glass (including Roman, Late Antique, Sasanian and Islamic glass)
  • Archaeological excavation

Other Research Projects:

2015 - present: Publication of late antique and medieval small finds and glass from the Archaeological Exploration of Barda, Azerbaijan (Oxford University)

2016 - present: Publication of late Roman glass from the late Roman villa at Polena Trocchia, Italy (Apolline Project).
