Research Interests:

My research project explores contemporary poetic practices that move across genres, art forms, media & languages, where textual, sonic, visual & haptic aspects of reading & writing intermingle & raise questions of signification, identity & belonging.

My research interests include:

  • Contemporary poetry & sound poetry
  • Crossovers between literature/poetry, visual art & sound art
  • Use of new media in contemporary poetry
  • Translingual/transnational writing
  • Sound studies
  • Text, sound & poetry in avant-garde movements

Previous Research Projects:

During my Master’s I primarily focused on poetic & textual developments in 20th century avant-garde movements. I wrote my dissertation on Marcel Broodthaers’s reworking of Mallarmé’s Un Coup de dés using the work as an entry into a discussion of textual modernity.
