Take your research blogging to the next level

Deadline: 18 December 2015

We are offering two internships to create & develop a new blog for the Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities. We are looking for experienced bloggers with the drive & creativity to ensure the new SGSAH blog reaches doctoral researchers across Scotland & far beyond.  You must be talented, enthusiastic, committed & keen to develop the SGSAH brand to promote Scottish doctoral research in arts & humanities & to share the experience of being a PhD researcher at a SGSAH member Higher Education Institution.

The first post begins in February 2016 & the second will take over in August 2016.  Both are for 5 hours per week & will be paid at the rate of £18,212 FTE (University of Glasgow Grade 4) for the duration of 4-6 months. The posts are open to all doctoral researchers within arts & humanities at any SGSAH member Higher Education Institution (see here for list), regardless of whether/how they are funded.

If you have some experience of running a successful blog & want to transfer those skills into a key role in an innovative & high-profile national organisation, apply now via the University of Glasgow internship hub (NB applications have now closed).

Please note that there is no requirement for the post-holder to be located in Glasgow – we expect that this role can be undertaken by any doctoral researcher at any Higher Education Institution from their own desk.  The SGSAH Blog Interns have to provide/source regular weekly updates which means that the 5 hours per week is likely to be a reasonably stable time requirement, although we will of course be responsive to your research & other commitments.

If you have any queries regarding the opportunity please contact us at admin@sgsah.ac.uk.
