The Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities is thrilled to introduce our blog focused entirely on you! Regular weekly posts will deal with the trials & triumphs of life as a doctoral researcher within the arts and humanities in Scotland. Guest bloggers will share their experiences as SGSAH interns, Thinkers-In-Residence and participants in other SGSAH events & training.

The SGSAH Research Blog can be found here: https://sgsahblog.wordpress.com/

Our current resident SGSAH Blogger is Joanna Rodgers, a doctoral researcher at the University of the Highlands and Islands exploring the relationship between Scottish heritage and ancestral tourism. The blog will engage with the SGSAH cohort to discuss what it means to be a doctoral researcher within the Arts & Humanities in Scotland today. We aim to engage with all doctoral researchers within the Arts & Humanities in Scotland, funded & unfunded, full & part-time, all are welcome!

Why should doctoral researchers blog about their research?
•    It provides a home for things reluctantly cut from publications
•    It allows early feedback on ideas and try them out for the first time in public
•    It allows the exchange of early thoughts with others working on the issues that concern students
•    It provides a platform to share struggles with others who are going through the same thing

Guest bloggers
We would like to welcome guest bloggers to engage with the issues surrounding life as a doctoral researcher which is important to you! If you are interested in contributing to the blog please contact us at admin@sgsah.ac.uk.
