With Dr Jon Blackwood and invited speakers Dr Laura Leuzzi, University of Dundee, and Sally Reaper, director of Look Again Aberdeen. This session will explore digital curation and introduce the Dislocations exhibition thematically.

Dr Jon Blackwood

Jon Blackwood is an educator, writer and curator. Since 2014 he has worked at Gray’s School of Art, Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen, where he is currently reader in contemporary art. He has previously worked at DJCAD, University of Dundee. Jon’s research is concentrated on notions of peripherality and post-socialist transition in Central & Eastern Euorpe, as well as contemporary art and activism. Jon is a member of IKT, the International Association of Curators of Contemporary Art, and SCAN. He has curated exhibitions nationally (Summerhall, Edinburgh, Peacock Visual Arts, Aberdeen, the Fleming Collection, London) & internationally (Institute for Contemporary Art, Zagreb; Atelier DADO, Cetinje; duplex, Sarajevo; Muzej na Grad Skopje, North Macedonia).
