It specialises in upskilling participants to work effectively with others outside of academia such as business, industry and the public.
About this Session
A lively and informative one hour interactive webinar considering different ways in which researchers can work with industry including collaboration, joint funding, consultancy, startup and a career in business. Then we will take a brief look at how they can identify their individual skills and expertise to support decision making and goal setting.We’ll finish with a final activity to gain feedback on what students might want by way of a longer programme.
Learning outcomes will include:
- Understanding different models and options for engaging with business
- A process for thinking about where their research and transferable skills can be utilised
- Understanding what further learning they want.
