About this Session

This interactive workshop will focus on the generation of practical policy and intellectual approaches for SGSAH and its PhD research community, in a time of climate emergency.

What is the role of arts & humanities in a time of climate emergency? How might we contribute to, and shape, arguments and understandings of the anthropocene? And what are key considerations - practical and intellectual - for SGSAH as a national graduate school? This workshop features short introductory talks from Prof Jaime L Toney (University of Glasgow's Centre for Sustainable Solutions) and Dr Dominic Hinde (Queen Margaret University) followed by a hackathon to generate practical policy and intellectual approaches. This will be the first of an ongoing series of events from SGSAH focusing on climate emergency.
