SGSAH Supporters: Working Together for Mutual Benefit

What is a SGSAH supporter?

Our growing number of supporters include key organisations in the greater arts, cultural, creative & heritage sectors.  We offer you the chance to:

  • Benefit from a fully funded doctoral intern or artist in residence for up to 3 months full time equivalent;
  • Work with HEIs to develop a 3 year fully funded PhD project focused on your organisation’s needs & priorities;
  • Mentor PhD students & offer visits/talks at your organisation;
  • Help shape the training we offer through our Knowledge Exchange, Training & Industry Committee.

How do supporters work with us?

SGSAH Internships
Your organisation could reap the benefits of taking on a fully funded doctoral intern for a defined, yet flexible, period.

Applied Research Collaborative Studentships
Work with two HEIs to develop a fully funded three year doctoral research project focused on questions & issues that matter to you, with the chance to work closely with the researcher & offer an embedded placement.

SGSAH Artists-in-Residencies
You can invite a creative practitioner who is also a trained researcher to undertake a residency to support cultural & artistic exchange, nurture experimentation & new ideas, and support research & the development of new work.

Mentoring or advising on training opportunities
Contact us to find out how your organisation can get involved with the SGSAH. Opportunities exist for participating in training programmes to inspire & prepare Arts & Humanities doctoral researchers for creative careers. Our A Creative Enlightenment programme is just one example.

Knowledge Exchange, Training & Industry Committee (KETIC)
KETIC exists to develop & deliver collaborative career-facing training for Arts & Humanities PhDs. Contact us to start a discussion about the skills & attributes your staff need now & in the future – we are always looking for new ideas & contributions.
