SGSAH Summer School 19-21 June 2017
The 2017 SGSAH Summer School is now over. Our sincere thanks to everyone who attended, to those who facilitated workshops and to our hosts at The Teacher Building, BBC Scotland, Glasgow Women's Library, The Lighthouse and the University of Glasgow.
This year we brought together over 200 doctoral researchers from all over Scotland, the event offered our widest range of theoretical and methodological workshops yet. Participants explored Feminist Research Methods at the Glasgow Women’s Library and the relationships between research and broadcast production at BBC Scotland, as well as Digital Humanities at the University of Glasgow. We aim to identify the best doctoral training in the arts & humanities & to open it up to researchers from all over Scotland. We are delighted that so many researchers took up the opportunity to come together in Glasgow, and we would like to thank colleagues from across all SGSAH member HEIs, as well as from our partner organisations, who made it possible by giving up their time to develop and deliver workshops and lectures.
We closed the SGSAH Summer School with our Doctoral Research Impact Showcase at The Lighthouse. Twelve doctoral/early career researchers from across Scotland exhibited their research at the event which was attended by industry and academic guests. The event included performances and static displays highlighting the range of doctroal research being undertaken across the arts and humanities disciplines.
Our next Summer School will be held on 19-21 June 2018. Make sure you are signed up to our mailing list to receive updates and announcements.
