We are delighted to announce that our popular Heritage Careers Day is returning for 2018. Our expert line-up of speakers will share their own experiences of working in the sector, and how their PhD provided them with the transferable skills, knowledge and experience needed. The programme will cover:
- Opportunities in heritage – an introduction to job types within the heritage sector;
- Planning ahead – participants will be encouraged to think about what skills and experience they may need to prepare them for careers in the heritage sector;
- Pathways not pipelines – participants will hear from a range of heritage professionals about their career path since completing their PhD;
- Applications - an insight into how to handle heritage job applications
There will also be the opportunity to visit some of the top heritage venues in Edinburgh as part of a guided experience with input and insight from those already working in the sector.
